starting off 2012 with some fun

There are some Saturday mornings when Jon does not ride his bike and I get to sleep in.  This is a favorite thing for me and as Allie wakes up right around 6:45, it doesn't happen much!  And some times, Allie gets to have breakfast out with Jon!
They went to Whole foods for pancakes (Allie's favorite are blueberry and gingerbread ones) and she is trying to cut them with her fork and knife!  Check out her baby in the window!
This is a great way to start off the day for everyone!  :O)
We have noticed from past pictures that Allie started off her life wanting to line things up and organize her stuff!  And now we have added to that her wanting to wear a tutu or fancy dress all the time!
She even made Jon and the dogs get in line while she danced for them!  She sings her own songs too!
My mom joined us on MLK day to go Downtown.  We rode the Metro rail from the park and ride stop by the old Astrodome to the Chase tower and tunnels for lunch. It is actually a fun and inexpensive outing for a day!
At the top of the tower.  You can see really far and I bet it would be great to go at sunset!
We walked the tunnels and didn't get too lost before eating lunch at the Corner bakery.  We even got to see her 2nd cousin Jenn and 2nd (??)Uncle Bern!
This is the dress my mom and I made for her that is supposed to be like the Matilda Jane knot tie dress.  It was a lot of work and my mom did most of it!!!  And the doll is Piper who is a Christmas elf that Allie adores and we have just finally been able to put her away for next year!
Allie's MDO had a little fun run for the kids.  It was a whole .01K!!! HA HA  Here she is walking to the starting place
Everyone says how tall Allie is, but if you look at her class, she is actually one of the shorter ones!

So, not only is she into tutu's but also fancy dresses!  I have had to put some away in another closet so she is not tempted by them every day!  I am trying to choose my battles, and still let her learn how to make choices...
But she does look adorable!  and thanks to Lindsay who passed down these beautiful dresses to her!
Fancy dress... check, baby... check, purse... check, bag full of stuff.... check, cheesy grin... check!
Notice everything lined up and fancy dress with fun slippers!
At the library... with a tutu on...
One last birthday party with dear Piper!  She kept asking if it was still January because she was wanting her birthday party!  She would also tell people that she was still only 2 1/2  because it was not February!
Ice cream because she filled up her responsibility chart.
I don't know what she was doing- but it cracked me up! that she rolled her pants all the way up like that!
Sporting her new tiara that is on backwards!  Makes her look like our little warrior princess!  It's hard to believe that she will not be two anymore and not a toddler!!  Slow down time!!!!
