This past Sunday, Allie Keegan and I drove up to Austin on our first road trip while Jon went to Kansas City. We stayed with Jon's brother's family and Allie Keegan got to visit with her 4 cousins and Aunt Kim and Uncle Tod. Little did I know that Aunt Kim would be the BEST GIFT I could have asked for! She informed me when we got there that she would take care of her during the night so I could get some sleep. First night: Kim got her to sleep over 7 hours. Second night: over 7 hours and didn't even need to calm her in the middle of the night! I got 2 great nights of sleep and because of her magic touch when we got home the third night she slept over 7 hours again! Last night...Night four: 8 1/2 hours with no interruptions!!!! WOW- I had forgotten what it was like to actually sleep! Plus, she helped me finally nail down the whole breastfeeding thing and Allie Keegan is only taking one bottle right before bed of formula to help her sleep longer!
What's her secret... Don't have Mom go into the room because she smells her and wants food! And after raising 4 kids she knows what she is doing! :o)
So thank you to the Klubnik kids for letting me borrow your Mom and for letting us visit you!
Allie had her 2 month check-up today and she is now 23 inches and 10.4lbs. She is cooing and babbling all the time and loves to smile!
Jon and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary yesterday!
