Not a Newborn anymore!

Allie Keegan is now 7 weeks old! She is definitely changing all the time and Jon and I have both seen her smile at us which is really fun! Last week we took her Newborn photos- which means I will have to get her announcements out now! (Yes, a little late!) She outgrew her newborn diapers and sleepers at 6 weeks and has grown almost 2 1/2 inches. We are still figuring out the feeding issues, but making progress!
The hardest thing about having a baby (I think) is that I can no longer just "do something". I may get one thing accomplished during the day; like vacuum, and that's it and still trying to figure out how to make dinner during the day.
Overall, being a mom has been very rewarding and we are looking forward to seeing her personality emerge!
I want to say a special thanks to Jon who gets up almost every morning to make me breakfast, which is eggs, bacon, and toast! He has been a real BLESSING by doing that! I am guaranteed at least one meal during the day! :O) Thanks Jon!

Just because...

Here are a few more Photos from the last couple of weeks. Ralph has become Allie Keegan's body guard (maybe he thinks he will get more attention if he stays close to her!) She is becoming more alert and makes all sort of fun faces! We are definitely enjoying her and getting to know her!

Recap from one month ago...

I wouldn't normally post pictures of me with my belly showing, but really it's our first family photo with all three of us! My friend Samantha does photography on the side and as a present, gave me some photo shoots. we kept getting delayed in taking the pregnancy shots because she moved, the holidays, and I got sick. So finally on February 4, we got to take these pictures. The crazy thing is the next day I went into labor!!!! I had wanted to take these pictures so badly and I kept thinking it was going to be too late and would not get to take them.
These shots are at 38 weeks and one day before Allie Keegan was born! I could not have asked for better timing! And Jon and I even got to have a great dinner that night as Sam had suggested we have a good date night before she arrived. So after the pictures, we went to Taste of Texas and had our last date night with no kids!
So now it's 4 weeks later and I can't believe all that has changed- including the couple hundred diapers that Allie Keegan has gone through! :o)
I have been a lot more exhausted lately and just getting a shower during the day is sometimes a difficult task to accomplish! BUT, I love being a Mom and our little girl s sooo precious! I also love listening to Jon sing to her and make up songs! Well, my time is coming to a close for now...
