January 6, we went to San Antonio for a long weekend. We used our time share and thought this would be great since we would not have to fly and we used hardly any points. WE drove up on Friday afternoon with a stop for dinner on the way. Jon Took Allie outside to play ring around the Rosie for awhile since it was going to be a long ride still to go. But since it was dark, he didn't notice the stickers and thorns that were all over the "grass"! Poor Allie!!! She fell right onto them and her little bottom was all torn up! Not a fun ride for her after that!
Saturday morning we went to a super fun Farmer's Market. We got lots of fun veggies and Grass fed meat. (I will post later about our food adventures this year)
The weather was great and it was so pretty!I wish Houston had fun things like this!
Jon found GREEN eggs at the farmer's market! Yes they are a light shade of green but they are still yellow inside! So, now you know - they actually do exist!

Daddy was a good sport!
She is really strong and can hold herself up the whole time!
Daddy is still trying! :O)
Sunday, it got cold- really cold! This is great park by the boardwalk and convention center.
Walking on the "balance beam"
It looks like she is posing in this picture!Watcha doing Daddy???
We had to visit one Mexican food place while we were there and this one was crazy!
Allie was writing her thank you cards for Christmas!
I got to have some time out on Sunday and I found a super great grocery store called "Sprouts". Almost everything in the store was organic and it was cheaper than HEB non organic prices! Plus they were so helpful. I even went back before we left to stock up on more food since we had the cooler with us and we drove! Supposedly, they are opening stores in Houston soon.
Later that day, Jon took Allie to the airport which was only a couple minutes away to watch the airplanes from on top of the garage. It was LOUD and COLD though!
We were going to stay all week, but as it got cold and rainy (flooded back in Houston), we decided to go home Monday night. We went to the outlet mall in San Marcos and also stopped at a new indoor trampoline place. We had the whole thing to ourselves and it was lots of fun!
My IPhone was not able to capture how fast Jon was jumping! :O)

All ready to go! We had dinner one of Jon's college friend's family before we left. It was fun to meet them and Jon had not seen them in long time! She was glad to have so many of her toys with her
Jon has always sung "Buttercup" to me (actually his version) and now Allie sings it too. She is dancing to it in this video and I love it because she will not be wearing diapers much longer! Even now she is dry almost every nap time and about 3 nights a week. But she still looks so cute with it on!The place that we stayed at was not that great. It definitely looked better in pictures! We had a animal of some sort in the wall the first night and then a few too many big bugs! We were glad we went, but we were also glad that we could leave early!
