Christmas Day 2011

After having the Klubnik side of the family over for Christmas Eve, we had the Miller's over on Christmas day (and Jon's parent's).

Allie opening her stocking to find lots of paints and things to make crafts.

This year she is hooked on Curious George and she got CG books, video, shirt, the stuffed animal, puzzles and I am sure other things that I can't remember!

After opening each thing, we would go upstairs and put it away!  And then come down and open another one!  I LOVE this child!!!  (although it did take a LONG time to open presents!)

My brother (in the weird hat), niece Amanda, sister in law Robyn.  And everyone is on their phone!!  Anybody heard of talking to the people you are with anymore!  Geez!  :O)
Jon was in charge of the turkey for the day and he planned on smoking it.  However, it did not make it in the smoker early enough so it also went into the oven, but since I needed the oven, it got bumped out to the BBQ!!!  Surprisingly, it turned out moist and tasty!

Allie always loves playing with Julia and she was pretending to be inside the box as a present.  Notice Allie is in the Tutu again!  (I actually had to take it back to Nordstrom's the following day because it had started to rip!!!!  They had their tailor sew it and luckily Allie was OK with parting with it for a few days!)

I made birthday cupcakes for Jesus' Birthday and of course Allie wanted to sing "Happy Birthday!"

Opening more presents!

Allie and I went shopping at Old Navy for Christmas presents and she spotted this shirt from across the store, but they only had sizes that were way too big for her.  I had them track one down at another store and my mom went and bought it.  But before she got it, we were at another Old Navy and she was looking again for the shirt and I told her they didn't have any in her size because they were all too big.  She was SO SAD and talked about it fir days... When she opened this, she looked at me very confused and then asked my mom "Is this too big for me?" She was not sure what to make of it because I had told her so many times that it was too big for her!

IT was fun to have everyone over and not too bad as far as hosting goes!  Allie even took a nap everyday which never happens, so she was able to stay up later and enjoy family time longer!  My only request for Christmas was to have everyone play games.  I miss just hanging out and playing cards or board games.  I am thankful that my parents stayed and played with us and I was happy!  I feel like the holidays are always a rush to get somewhere and the eat and then go somewhere else.  One year, I just want what I see in the movies; everyone just hanging out and enjoying the time together!...

I put the boys' tree up in the office this year and I actually bought another tree for them and this one was too small as I did not have enough room for all their ornaments.  My mom got me two new ones for their tree and I had meant to get them some and I didn't... UGH.

 I always love how it looks at night. oh well.
